Do you break out in a hot sweat when you think about visiting your dentist? If so, you’re not alone – many people fear visiting their dentist. There are many reasons for this, and most commonly it is due to a negative dental experience during childhood. Whatever the cause, there are those who are simply averse to visiting their dentist as regularly as they should.

Our gentle approach to offering personalized care and attention are one of the reasons our patients love to visit us at Modern Family Dentists LLC. However, even this sometimes isn’t enough to put some patient’s dental anxieties at bay. That is why we also offer several methods of sedation to help make your dental experience anxiety-free.

We’re always open to discussing any fears or anxieties you may have, and we’ll always help you choose the best sedation method for your needs.

We can offer a mild sedation such as nitrous oxide, which puts you to sleep during any treatment you may receive. That way, you won’t feel or see anything during the procedure. You can simply lie back in the chair and snooze until the treatment is over.

Alternatively, we can use a local anesthetic which temporarily numbs your mouth during your treatment. You will feel very little to nothing at all while we treat you, and the numbness wears off soon after your treatment is completed.

Unfortunately, many people put off visiting their dentist because of their anxiety. This can lead to many tooth or gum related issues that could have been prevented. At Modern Family Dentists LLC, we completely understand that you may have anxiety issues, so feel free to discuss your concerns with us. Our sedation methods are available for you to help make your dental experience as pleasant as possible.

Make an appointment with us today to discuss your needs – we’re always happy to talk with you about your worries. Like many of our patients at Modern Family Dentists LLC, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at our compassionate approach. We aim to make your experience as safe and comfortable as possible, so once your preferred method of sedation has worn off, you’ll leave our office smiling! And remember – Smiles Change Outcomes.
